I believe that that the statement ‘space exploration is a waste of time’ is correct.

This is because NASA had a budget of 16.2 billion dollars in 2011 so roughly 16.2 billion a year.Whereas In just one year of funding — 2007 — the National Cancer Institute (NCI) spent $572.4 million. Now that is a concern!Innocent people die from cancer daily and the NASA space agency has more than 5x the budget. To find out a planet which we can’t even communicate in a life time and will never reach until 3078. An alien is a hypothetical or fictional being from another world. As you can see the definition says fictional this mean it is made up and not real so therefore why spend billions on finding out there habitat. I agree with

spending money to go fix satellites to and do check ups on our atmosphere but not spend 70 million to send a satellite to Mars like the Indians space company.

this is why I believe space exploration is a waste of time
